Rosa Schreiber-Freissmuth, at the time still Rosa Schreiber, was the owner of a pharmacy in Neuhaus am Klausenbach in Burgenland, Austria. There was a "labor camp" near Neuhaus. She saved the life of the adolescent Alan Brown and, first of all, that of his father, both of whom had typhoid , by providing them with medication and food. She also saved the lives of other forced laborers in the camp.
